Kirk Farris and Art & Environmental Architecture, Inc., notable for their McKee Street Bridge, Frost Town, and many other preservation efforts, "supported the rejuvenation of this 1938 steel riveted plate girder bridge. Colors for this Art Deco influenced design were accurate but the deco style concrete approaches are embellished with Measure 21 Gray from the Battleship Texas WWII Pacific Fleet color scheme."
