Flight attendants at Mesa Airlines, which operates United Express flights in Houston, recently ratified a new contract with improved wages and increased schedule flexibility, among other things.
Union members with the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA voted to ratify the four-year agreement that covers more than 1,100 flight attendants.
“Mesa flight attendants worked for years to be recognized for our work and dedication as aviation’s first responders,” Heather Stevenson, union president for Mesa, said in a news release. “This contract will make a significant difference for Mesa flight attendants and their families.”
The contract includes initial pay raises of up to 20 percent, with additional increases in subsequent years.
