Utah Jazz vs Houston Rockets: Game 1 Reaction Rockets win by 32! – Houston Video

Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert went up against James Harden and Chris Paul and James Harden went bonkers. The scheme the Jazz tried didn’t work as the Jazz lost the game by 32 points. If the Utah Jazz want to beat the Houston Rockets, they have to find a way to score and slow down the rockets or this will be a short series

  1. No clue what the game plan was suppose to be on harden. The only person who played actual defence on him was royce oneal

  3. The defensive game plan backfired with Harden just getting his teammates involved. The Jazz just need to play them man to man next time. I can live with Harden getting 50 if it keeps the other Rockets out of it and we win

  4. Rudy Gobert should have had 4 fouls 1st half he got dunked on all night

  6. Not a lot of positives. But then the Rockets are better than last season.

  7. coach quinn should probably have a practice where they just pass the ball back and fourth because they clearly don't know how to grab a basketball

  8. The way they should defend Houston is by taking capela and the wings out. Make harden work for those points. (Coming from a rockets fan) harden is just too good to defend.

  9. 18 fucking turnovers just sad and our coach and players should be ashamed of themselves

  10. Also will you be doing post games for other teams if the jazz get eliminated? Like you did last year.

  11. Jazz need to play dirty by fouling hard, driving to the paint with elbows high, and treat the other team like an enemy. This is the damn playoffs and the Jazz lost before the game even started.

  12. Favors goes in hard for a dunk a gets fouled good but still taps the guy who fouled him on the back. Next time swing the elbows and they'll think twice next time.

  15. Tough, tough, tough loss!!! I wanted to stop watching by the time it got to 22 early 4th, but yeah, things u hope sometimes disappoint. Let's just hope that they learn and figure it out next game. They got two days off, better hit the film room with utmost focus.

  16. Rockets fan here. I always watch your vids when the Rockets are matched with the Jazz. You always give props to the Rockets and Harden where the media and other NBA fans resort to insults and ridicule. I appreciate that. Also Jazz had a 27-12 ft disparity which is ridiculous in Houston. Harden only had 3 ft attempts.

  17. Liked and subbed bro. Feel bad coming here….I was telling my bud the Jazz cool but they don't have enough scorers if the Rockets start hitting. Which they was off tonight. And still made it look easy. The Rockets last 4 or so games they had like 26 3's then 27 3's and another 20. Damn mannn I feel bad for the Jazz…I really can't believe House missed 3 wide open 3s…maybe 1st time playoff gitters, he was so-so tonight. He really good though

  18. This game was a combination of the rockets playing really well all the way through and the jazz playing terribly in the fourth quarter! We were hanging around at least in the first three quarters. What a drag…

I don’t think it will be a sweep but Utah really has their work cut out for them if they hope to turn this series around.

  20. Rockets fan here. One of the big positives in this first round match up against Utah is that i get to watch your analysis for this series. Always love your objective analysis so keep it up!

  21. James excellent commentary sir! You guys have a different time frame than us. With Mitchell being as dynamic as he is your have a 4-8 year window! Keep your head up my guy we legitimately have a 2 year window to do what we gotta do and this years rockets team is deeper than last year. Good luck to a great series!

  24. Coming from the Rockets side. EVERYONE is overreacting to one win or loss in these playoffs. Except for the 1 vs 8 matchups in both conferences, all the losers this weekend can and will bounce back.

Houston did what they were supposed to, especially with a flawed defensive plan. The Jazz will shoot better, and the Rockets history shows inconsistency. The only issue is the notion that Rubio should ever defend Harden. It doesn't work, defending him requires height, length and quickness. Playing straight up and a constant diet of Royce and Thabo is the adjustment

  25. Blame Denver for being bitches and losing on purpose to avoid playing Houston/GSW until the WCF. It worked but man, do the Nuggets look weak and probably going to lose to the Spurs.

  27. yeah but the problem was is that it looks like the guy that was guarding harden or the ball handler was supposed to shade harden into the lane but was supposed to offer resistance on his back but instead they trailed him sometimes they lost him completely and then Rudy gobert was having two then go off of Clint capela guard James hardenand then what the left was then a guy had to come down block out Clint capela which left a guy wide open in a corner 3 every single time but also what they did wasn't created a horrible horrible chain reaction to where Rudy gobert was then not in position and either was the point guard who was now having to be the primary rebounder who was not rebounding cuz Ricky Rubio and others aren't really that great of rebounderz so Ricky Rubio was trying to do all the rebounding and Rudy gobert was doing the boxing out with Joe Ingles it was all a horrible events of decision it causes to get our asses kickedI mean I don't know how they could have been practicing this and thought this is going to work it was so weird it was like watching a different team we literally were not the Utah jazz we didn't run our offense and we didn't run our defense we ran another teams defense and another team's offense and it was horrible honestly I'm going to have to say this is the coaches fault I'm going to put it on him because this was a horrible scheme just a horrible scheme
